The Perfect Baby Gift

I have finally found it and it’s not for the baby at all.  It’s for the mother-to-be.  It’s not a photo album or a beautiful robe (both of which are wonderful gifts by the way) but rather something she can not only love, but can wear and keep forever.

I’m now at an age where all my friends are having babies and funny enough, I just had a baby.  I have searched the world over (okay, maybe not the whole world, but definitely the world wide web!) for a present that would have last a lifetime. I’ve think I’ve found it. I know, I know, I shouldn’t go off  registry (we’ve all gotten the “what do I do with this gift?”) but I can’t help myself. I want to give the mother-to-be something from my heart to hers.

Here it is (at least in my opinion) and it’s actually affordable. I found a young woman (through a must-read blog- thenester.com) named Erin, founder of The Vintage Pearl, that hand stamps jewelry and it’s a must see.

Beautiful & Unique

She creates beautiful sterling silver  unique jewelry and keepsakes that I am drooling over! (Santa, are you reading this!?)  For instance, this sterling silver “dainty drop necklace” is only $35 with one charm and $48 for two! (For the mother of twins perhaps?!)  What could be a more perfect gift than a necklace with their child’s name and birth stone made from Swarovski crystals.
